Contract of Sale

The advertising of products on the site is the way in which we are able to display all the items available to buy through the site. We aim to keep items in stock at all times but due to the very nature of our product range being imported or hand-made means that it is inevitable there will be breaks in supply in which case some lines will show ‘Not Available’.

It should not be possible to order any item that is not in stock. You can only place items in your basket that are currently in stock meaning that you can shop with confidence that the items that you have chosen will be with you within a few days.

However, on rare occasions, stock levels may be incorrect and you will be contacted. That means your order is an offer, not a contract of sale between you and Salamandar Gifts, so prices and stock availability won’t be contractually confirmed until you receive the ‘confirmation of despatch’ email sent once your order has been successfully picked and we can confirm stock levels have been checked.

These terms and conditions cannot be varied except by changes made by Salamandar Gifts on the site, which we may make from time to time. In particular, nothing said by any representative of Salamandar Gifts will operate as a variation to these terms and conditions or constitutes a legal representation on behalf of either of them.

Sale Items – From time to time Salamandar Gifts will have items on sale. All the regular terms and conditions also apply to sale items. Discount codes that may have been advertised in various publications are not applicable in this circumstance.


Please be aware that whilst we take great care to accurately describe the items shown on our website, a lot of the items are hand made and as such their composition and colour may vary slightly from that shown and are usually in some way unique.  Most items are described using size/length and accurate colour options.

However we are aware that colours and images vary slightly according to the monitor they are viewed on. Also there may be occasional discrepancies in the sizing of items due to human error. We would be happy for you to inform us if you do come across any such item.

We will do everything possible to ensure that you can be confident of making a secure, risk-free purchase from us but in the unlikely event that you are unhappy in any way with our service or products, please contact us immediately and we will attempt to put things right or arrange for a return.  Making A Purchase

When you make a purchase from www.salamandar.co.uk

– You will receive an electronic confirmation upon receipt of your order as soon as your order has been received.

– You will receive notification of despatch usually within 2 working days of your order being processed.

All prices shown are inclusive of VAT.  If you are using your credit card to purchase items, your credit card company will charge you in your country’s currency at that day’s exchange rate. Local charges are not the responsibility of Salamandar Gifts.


Because we are confident that you will absolutely adore anything you order with us we are willing to pay for any items that you would like to return. But remember that this needs to be returned to us within 14 days of receipt of the item. This 14 day window for returns applies to non-faulty and items that may get damaged in transit.

When returning goods we would ask that you follow the procedures below so that we can refund your payment as quickly as possible.

 Returns form

When your items have arrived, you should also have received a returns form. Please fill in your order number. Complete the form indicating the reason for returning the item/s. This will help us identify the problem and does not affect your refund in any way. If the form is not available, please email us first at salamandargiftsonline@mail.com or phone us on 01252 811333 and we will give you additional information for returning your items..

Arrived Damaged or Faulty – In the unlikely event that your goods arrived damaged or are faulty your first action is to inform us by email at salamandargiftsonline@mail.com within 7 days. Then return the goods by Royal Mail Special Delivery. We will replace the goods at no charge or refund any money paid for the goods and postage.

Non-Faulty Goods – Non-faulty goods must be returned within 7 days after receiving the product. In the first instance please contact us by email to salamandargiftsonline@mail.com preferably within 48 hours. Complete the returns form dispatched with your order. Provided the goods are received in brand new, never been used condition and with the same packaging that they left our warehouse in, we will fully refund the price of the goods. The postal costs will not be refunded.  You will receive your refund within 30 days although usually much sooner. You will be responsible for the return of the goods and ensuring that we receive the goods in the above condition. We strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery, insured delivery method for your own peace of mind.

 How long will it take to refund me?

Before contacting us please take note of the timescales required to process a refund, all should be finalised within 30 days.

Once a refund is processed you will receive an email confirming this (the email will be sent to the same email address as your Order Confirmation email was sent).

After receiving the refund confirmation email, please allow a further 5-10 working days for the refund to be credited to your account. This time frame is dictated by your bank or card issuer and is outside of our control. N.B Your refund will be credited to the same card with which you made your original purchase. If for any reason this is not possible, (e.g. the card had been declined or has expired) we will contact you.

Please Note: You should not write ‘jewellery’, ‘Silver’ or similar words that indicates valuable contents, on the package you are returning, as this invites possible theft of the package.

Items returned outside the above guidelines may only be subject to credit. A refund will not be possible if the item/items arrrive damaged as a result of the original packaging not being used, in these cases the item/s will be returned to you. Under no circumstance are we able to accept the return of pierced earrings in compliance with current Health & Hygiene regulations. This does not affect your statutory rights.

When returning items you are strongly recommended to obtain proof of posting. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. Upon receipt of items returned as faulty, Salamandar Gifts will arrange for an exchange. The decision made by Salamandar Gifts is final.

 Extended Period at Christmas

Any purchase intended as a gift at Christmas can be exchanged/credited up to the end of January providing the above criteria has been satisfied. Refunds will not be offered outside the standard terms.

 Privacy Policy

Salamandar Gifts comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act of 1984 and the new act of 1998. We do not disclose details of our customers to any third party.

All your items will be delivered to your door within 3-5 working days.

Should there be an error in the description or price of goods in the on-line catalogue,  Salamandar Gifts reserves the right to supply goods at the correct price. Customers will be notified by e-mail before any order is processed.

Due to the proliferation of internet credit card fraud, the Company also reserves the right to decline any order where there is a discrepancy in card details.

We will replace your item free of charge and take your case up with Royal Mail.

It is vital to obtain a proof of postage certificate when returning goods as we can’t be held responsible for goods lost in transit to us.

If an exact replacement is not possible a full refund will be made by cheque within 14 days of us receiving the returned items. Salamandar Gifts will not accept returned items that have been damaged through misuse, neglect, accident or intent howsoever caused. If you do not inform us within 7 working days, then we will have no liability for items said to be damaged/faulty/incorrect on delivery.
